The Conventional Boiler

If you have a older central heating system the chances are it will have a traditional or conventional boiler. A typical conventional system incorporates a boiler, a pumped pipework system, a feed and expansion cistern and a hot water cylinder ( usually in the airing cupboard) fed by a cold water storage tank located in the loft

The Combi Boiler

The combi is an ingenious space saving idea which is increasingly widely used in British homes. By incorporating both a very efficient water heater and an economical central heating boiler within one compact unit, the combi eliminates theneed for a hot water storage tank and other familiar components of a conventional boiler system. The System Boiler

This differs from a traditional or conventional boiler in two important respects. Firstly, many of the components of the heating and hot water system are built in, which means that installation is quicker, neater, easierand less costly. Secondly, the hot water is pumped through the system tothe radiators and hot water cylinder, resulting in fast reponse and moreeconomical running costs
