Controls
At Thermco we aim to give you maximum comfort in your home, that's of maximum importance
to us. All our boiler and heating system controls are designed to improve efficiency and safety so
your heating and hot water system operates at peak performance.
Under new building regulations all new or upgraded heating systems require a room thermostat.
The new generation temperature controllers are designed to provide automatic time and temperature
control in your home. Their function and performance are so innovative, that comfort as we know it
acquires a whole new meaning. The new range of programmable thermostats enable wire free connection
between the thermostat and your boiler. You can install the thermostat anywhere in your living space. No
matter where you put it all the wiring will be close to the boiler.
As if that was not enough, wire free communication means you can also program the thermostat while
sitting comfortably in your armchair

A simple, easy-to-operate 24 hour
mechanical timer combined with a
radio frequency room thermostat.
The thermostat features individual
higher and lower temperature
sensors.

A familiar wall-mounted 24 hour programmable RF digital thermostat combined with
a fascia mounted single channel programmer to time the hot water cylinder or
combi preheat functions. The programmer includes a built-in receiver for the
room thermostat and all of the functionality of the DT20. A wall-mounted RF room thermostat with digital display, combined with a twin
channel digital timer in the boiler fascia. The fascia mounted programmer
benefits from automatic time and date setup, automatic summer/wintertime
changeover and a backlight for use in low light conditions. |
The Greenstar HE Plus boilers can be used with the internal temperature
controller (TR2).
All the benefits previously explained can be achieved, however, the HE Plus
models do not need the night set back module as it is already programmed into
the text display.
We recommend the TR2 should be used with every HE Plus combi installation
as under the Building Regulations Section L 2002, the minimum set of controls
required to demonstrate compliance will be:
Time switch
Room thermostat
TRV's on all radiators, or at least those radiators in sleeping areas if not
already fitted. Do not fit TRV's in the room in which the room
thermostat is installed.
|
Under new building regulations all new or upgraded
boiler and heating systems must have seperate hot
water and heating control from a timeclock a room
thermostat, system bypass, cylinder thermostat and
all radiators except the one in the same room as the
roomstat must have a thermostatic radiator valve.
With all these controls your heating and hot water
system will work to its maximum efficiency.
|
These are connected to a radiator to control the flow of hot
water into the radiator. As the room heats up to a preset
temperature, the valve will gradually close reducing the amount
of heat given out. As the room requires more heat, the valve
opens allowing more hot water in to the radiator which gives out
more heat.
